Principal Cloud Architect

Tasks

• Architecture and Design: Responsible for the design of enterprise cloud platforms, stakeholders, and cost allocation.
• Leadership: Guiding technical leaders and consultants from multiple teams to inform cloud selection and implementation efforts.
• Enterprise: Evaluation of engineering technologies to support the three-year infrastructure roadmap, including enterprise architecture, tool development and maintenance, data migration, and automation.
• Collaboration: Close coordination with engineering, security, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure end-to-end solutions.
• Technical Excellence: Promoting innovation, establishing best practices, and mentoring future cloud architects and infrastructure teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• 8–10 years of experience in IT, including at least 3 years in a senior architecture role.
• A proven track record in managing cloud infrastructures (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Extensive knowledge of hybrid operations, networking, security, and automation.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications

• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).
• Experience with IaaS/PaaS/SaaS technologies.
• Familiarity with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
