Principal - Head of Compliance Architecture

Tasks

• Leverage extensive experience in enterprise architecture, primarily in the areas of compliance and regulatory change portfolios, as well as support for enterprise architecture initiatives. This position requires both strategic and hands-on work.
• Consulting and implementation of enterprise architecture practices (in collaboration with other teams, optimizing platform configuration and other architectural levers to enhance and align compliance and audit efforts).
• Leadership over platforms for fraud, elections, market, and payment operations, including the monitoring of data environments, model libraries, algorithms, financial system tools, and technologies.
• Proactively identifying opportunities for strategic technology investments, innovation, and competitive development. Investing in innovation, research, science, and smart business outcomes.
• Focus on serving as the lead architect for the Financial Crime, Regulatory Compliance, and Regulatory Change portfolios, including addressing architectural challenges across multiple environments, AWS, etc. Solutions for finance, compliance, ethics & conduct, trade surveillance, discretionary compliance, market intelligence, and compliance monitoring as part of the Fraud Investigation Department.
• Collaborate with all business and solution engineering teams to design and implement a cohesive workflow that integrates applications, buildings, storage, and computing requirements with related technology solutions.
• Develop an architectural strategy and direction for business and compliance organizations to identify an approach that maximizes enterprise-wide utilization through the sharing of data, models, and technology.
• Identifying emerging technological opportunities and assessing whether they align with the organization's long-term strategic direction.
• Serve as an internal subject matter expert on our technology to support development roadmaps. Support leadership in raising awareness and visibility of the potential of various services and technologies.
• Collaborate with enterprise application architecture teams to identify optimal solutions and implement changes as needed.
• Work with teams, including external partners and consultants, in the areas of finance, compliance, and technology to enable better collaboration, change management, and delivery speed.
• Establish and maintain close working relationships with leaders and colleagues within the organization to align on strategy and refine the vision for their area.
• Promote a continuous improvement approach to ensure best practices across all application teams.
• Providing strategic insights, governance, and standards for application technology to application stakeholders.
• Identification, definition, documentation, and communication of business roadmaps.
• Monitoring and controlling the provision and integration of business capabilities.
• Managing the business unit's technology strategy; defining and implementing IT capability delivery models.
• Defining, procuring, and integrating new technologies to enhance digital channels and customer experiences across products, regions, and segments.
• Collaborate with the security team to design an appropriate environment that complies with regulations and security requirements.
• Responsibility for the architectural vision and technology strategy for enterprise-wide solutions.

Requirements

• Proven success in managing enterprise, distributed computing, and cloud/native architecture teams.
• Proven success in collaborating with compliance and regulatory architecture teams and other software engineering practices.
• Familiarity with at least 2 of the following areas:
  • Compliance, Technology and Other Areas, Risk and Data Management, Control Governance, or Operations.
• Ability to serve as a consultant to senior client executives, including C-level executives and steering committees
