Tasks

• Practical Application of Modern Development Practices.
• Working with industry-leading agile, test-driven processes.
• Fostering Leadership and Practical Development: As a Lead, you serve as a technologist, developer, mentor, and trainer.
• Leading development teams as the primary consultant; adhering to the processes for intake, TBS, or open orders.
• Development and maintenance of highly stable products.
• Development and design of applications and products that can influence multiple product streams.
• Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to define and implement new customer-focused and best-practice approaches.
• Design, management, and monitoring of operations in Microsoft Azure; administration of cloud-native services.
• Development of cloud applications and scalable products.
• Consideration of architectural factors, such as risk and governance aspects.
• Support and continuous improvement of agile practices, CI/CD practices, and infrastructure automation to accelerate delivery, as well as continuous testing and deployment.
• Promotion of test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing at the unit, test, and integration levels.
• Enabling and maintaining our sustainable infrastructure and operations strategy.
• Development of solutions using RESTful and API platforms.
• Maintaining a practical, technical focus.
• Support for operational aspects and the reduction of technical debt.
• Leading strategy, design, architecture, and product roadmaps.
• Mentoring and coaching emerging roles in technical skills, ranging from product design to innovation in modern tools, to enable more effective delivery processes, including automated and script-based CI tools.
• A strong emphasis on quality and discipline in writing clean, elegant code.
• Engineering Maturity in Today's Enterprise Environments.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Java and Java application frameworks.
• Extensive experience with Java, the Spring Framework, and the development of cloud-native applications.
• Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Experience with pair programming.
• Knowledge of CI/CD DevOps practices.
• A proven ability to lead through influence rather than authority.
• Leadership skills without micromanagement.
• Strong skills in project management, design, and documentation.
• A collaborative approach in a multidisciplinary context.
• Commitment to lifelong learning.
• Microsoft Azure Certified Architect (strongly preferred).
• Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship (NorthTrust will not sponsor candidates for H-1B, J-1, OPT, SP, or other work visas).
• Experience with CFP or GRC is a plus.
