Principal, Solution Architect

Tasks

• Development of enterprise products and maintenance of the portfolio of company-wide applications
• Collaboration with architects and senior technology leadership on projects involving enterprise-wide applications
• Planning and communication with decision-makers (such as VPs, directors, managers, departments, and others)

Requirements

• Expertise in Architecture and Communication
• Ability to design better solutions and leverage Northern Trust’s technology platform to ensure optimal and agile progress
• Success in this position depends on business strategy, team leadership, and effective team management
• Responsibility for the overall efficiency and quality of the builds currently in use
• Broad technical skills across multiple disciplines: architecture and technology (cloud, networking, security, disaster recovery, backup, and database design)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Flexibility and a proactive approach to work
• Ability to collaborate with the client team of over 300 employees to drive key processes forward and solve problems
• Effect as a means of escalation for management
