Private Bank, Client Service Associate - Emerging Markets, Geneva

As a Client Service Associate at JPMorgan Chase in Geneva, you will serve as the primary point of contact for private banking clients from emerging markets and handle their transactions and service requests. The role requires fluency in English and French, as well as experience in the financial sector, to ensure integrated support and a high standard of service.

Tasks

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all sales and service inquiries in Private Banking and collaborate with bankers, investors, various product specialists, the mid-office, and other team members to provide our clients with a seamless experience across all private banking products and services.
  • Regional focus on bankers and their client base.
  • Processing fund transfers, monitoring overdrafts and cash balances, executing special purchases, and managing corporate actions.
  • Performing account maintenance tasks (opening and closing accounts, and transferring loans).
  • Updating customer profiles in the CRM system to accurately reflect customers' specific needs.
  • Provision of KYC/AML/KYCM services and establishment of the necessary product structures to support the investment strategy.
  • Providing high-quality service to private banking clients.
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of customer data at all times.
  • Careful management of daily customer transactions and inquiries in accordance with established procedures. A CSS's transaction approval limits are defined by company policies.
  • Research, track, and resolve customer inquiries and issues through timely and professional discussions with product specialists, operations teams, and other staff members.
  • Investigating potential (or actual) cases of fraud, errors, and issues to ensure a quick and accurate resolution for customers.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and escalate them to bankers and product partners, as appropriate.
  • Reviewing and maintaining data quality with regard to internal and external customer information.
  • Participation in special projects, as assigned by the team manager.
  • Coordinate and track customer inquiries regarding products and services; ensure timely delivery to end customers; and utilize all available tools and resources to improve service quality.
  • Main areas of service provision: management, investment funds, and credit products, as well as cash equivalents.
  • Identifying issues relevant to these products and services and building customer trust.
  • Use the available network to provide these products and services to customers if they are not available in their own region.

Requirements

  • English and fluent French are required.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • The ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and technological environment in order to serve customers as efficiently as possible.
  • A solid understanding of deposits, banking, brokerage, custody, investments, trust services, and corporate actions—which are assigned to each sales representative (and may change from time to time)—to ensure the proper execution of all types of transactions.
  • Understanding and compliance with financial services laws, regulations, and guidelines, as well as related laws, regulations, and guidelines that govern the financial services industry.
  • Effective communication, judgment, problem-solving, and customer relationship skills.
  • A degree in business administration or equivalent financial qualifications.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the financial services and/or banking industry.
