Job Summary

As a Private Banker on the Turkey team, you will be at the forefront of J.P. Morgan’s private banking business. You will lead client acquisition and retention efforts by leveraging your comprehensive knowledge of investments, banking, trust services, and financial planning. This role is also responsible for the client experience and coordinates our resources to deliver a comprehensive wealth management solution.

Job Responsibilities

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers in Turkey
  • Sales and implementation of investment, banking, and trust/estate planning products
  • Utilizing and coordinating specialists to provide interdisciplinary expertise for complex client needs
  • Managing customer accounts to ensure that customers have a complete profile and that accounts are properly maintained and managed
  • Ensuring that all customer interactions and transactions comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines
  • Monitoring and managing risks associated with customer relationships and taking proactive measures to mitigate those risks
  • Building trust with customers and effective relationship management

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a private banker or in a similar role, with a focus on the Turkish asset market
  • Previous experience in business development and sales development
  • Proven sales success, including prospecting, profiling, overcoming objections, negotiation, team selling, closing sales, and requesting referrals
  • Results-oriented, with exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, always within a regulatory and risk-controlled framework
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sufficient attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; fluency in Turkish is preferred, along with English

Preferred qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CFP) are preferred
  • Experience or proven understanding of investments, banking, credit, and wealth planning concepts
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment, including regulatory and technological developments
