Job Summary
As a Private Banker in the Turkey team, you would act as the face of J.P. Morgan's Private Banking business. You would lead new client acquisition and retention through a broad knowledge of investments, banking, trust services and financial planning. This role is also responsible for the client experience and engaging our resources to deliver a complete wealth management solution.
Job Responsibilities
- Keenly focus on prospecting and acquiring new clients and new assets from new and existing Ultra High Net Worth clients from Turkey
- Maintain and further develop an existing book of business consisting of Ultra High Net Worth clients from Turkey
- Sales and implementation of investment, banking and trust/estate products to core clients as appropriate
- Leverage and coordinate specialists (investor, Capital Advisor, Wealth Advisor, and other Subject Matter Experts) to provide interdisciplinary expertise for our most complex clients
- Manage each account to ensure that the client has a complete profile and that accounts are properly maintained and serviced, specifically adhering to J.P. Morgan Risk Management framework
- Ensure all client interactions and transactions comply with regulatory requirements and internal J.P. Morgan policies and procedures.
- Monitor and manage risks associated with client relationship with the firm and take proactive measures to mitigate potential issues.
- Build trust with clients and effectively manage relationships
- Ensure that the proposed products and services maximize the clients' needs, goals and objectives
- Provide seamless and exceptional service excellence, and engage XLOB partners as needed to enrich the overall client experience with J.P. Morgan.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Proven track record and experience as a private banker or in a similar role, with a focus on the Turkish wealth market, working with limited companies, entrepreneurs, executives, single family offices, and endowments
- Previous business development experience and skills
- Proven sales success including: prospecting, profiling, overcoming objections, negotiation, team selling approach, closing the sale and asking for referrals
- Result oriented, with exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills, always working within a regulatory and risk managed framework
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sufficient attention to details and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, with fluency in Turkish (preferred) and English
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a client-centric approach
- Strong relationship management and team building skills; views team collaboration as critical to the business model
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g. CFA, CFP) preferred.
- Experience or demonstrated understanding of investments, banking, credit, and wealth planning concepts including, but not limited to: asset allocation on structured portfolios, managed portfolios, brokerage accounts, portfolio reviews, deposit and lending solutions, basics in trust and estate products, and identification of wealth planning opportunities.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business including regulatory and technological environment
