Private Banking Business Manager (Contract)
The Private Banking Business Manager is responsible for coordinating training sessions, overseeing onboarding processes, and supporting front-office staff at a financial institution in Hong Kong. Job description
The position of Private Banking Business Manager (Contract) in Hong Kong involves the following responsibilities:- Coordinate and conduct training sessions (on systems, processes, policies, and procedures) for front-office and business support staff to ensure that all team members are up to date.
- Overseeing and coordinating onboarding training for new front-office employees.
- Organizing monthly CRO/CSO meetings and collaborating with department heads.
- Partner with Market Group Heads on CRO/CSO cost allocation reporting.
- Handling and responding to ad hoc inquiries and conducting routine follow-ups on operational incidents.
- Providing prompt and professional support to front-office staff.
- Conducting ex-ante compliance checks on deposits initiated by front-office staff.
- Participate in and contribute to specific tasks, process improvement initiatives, and system improvement projects.
- Support for user acceptance testing (UAT) for system changes.
- Monitoring and management of administrative tasks.
- Monitoring and managing the client inquiry and feedback mailbox.
- Conducting data analyses and preparing Management Information System (MIS) reports.
- Support for corporate governance initiatives and assistance with the implementation and monitoring of corporate governance frameworks and practices.
Requirements
The position requires:- A university degree with at least 5 years of experience in the financial sector, preferably in private banking.
- A strong understanding of relevant regulatory and compliance frameworks and comprehensive knowledge of banking operations.
- Excellent proficiency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional projects or initiatives within a financial institution is a plus.
- A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
