Private Banking Compliance Officer, Americas & Iberia Region, 80%–100% (f/m/d)
Julius Baer is seeking a Compliance Officer for the Americas and Iberia regions in Zurich to handle onboarding issues, investigations of compliance violations, and training. The ideal candidate has a master’s degree, 3–5 years of experience in private banking, and is fluent in English and either Portuguese or Spanish.
YOUR CHALLENGE
- Follow up on outstanding onboarding issues / escalations
- Identify and investigate serious cases of noncompliance
- Provide training and training materials related to compliance topics
- Support internal compliance projects
- Recommend, develop, and implement solutions to support continuous improvement processes, procedures, and services
YOUR PROFILE
- Master’s degree in law or business administration, postgraduate studies in compliance management, or equivalent
- 3–5 years of experience in client onboarding at an international private bank in the field of compliance management
- Knowledge of the Swiss regulatory environment, particularly with regard to AML regulations and documentation standards
- Solid knowledge of the Americas and Iberia region
- A strong personality with good organizational and operational skills and a proven ability to work under pressure
- Proficient in writing concise evaluations
- A strong sense of integrity and discretion
- Independent, efficient, meticulous work style and solution-oriented
- Good knowledge of MS Office and a knack for IT
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent in English and Portuguese and/or Spanish (spoken and written); knowledge of other languages is a plus
