Private Banking Compliance Officer, Americas & Iberia Region, 80%–100% (f/m/d)
Julius Baer is seeking a Compliance Officer (80–100%) in Zurich for the Americas & Iberia region to handle the onboarding of U.S. and U.K. clients, as well as AML risk assessments and training. The position requires a master’s degree, 3–5 years of experience in private banking, and fluency in English and German.
YOUR CHALLENGE
- Provide compliance onboarding support for new clients joining our U.S. private banking and U.S. client segments, as well as support for the onboarding of U.K. private clients.
- Provide compliance onboarding support for all other jurisdictions to the Amers & Iberia regional office
- Serve as the compliance interface and relationship manager for the client management and middle office teams
- Support other locations within the region as well as the global compliance organization
- Client Risk & AML ratings for clients within the jurisdiction based on CDD/KYC, WCR, and other risk factors
- Provide training and training materials related to compliance topics
- Recommend, develop, and implement solutions to support continuous improvement in compliance, operations, and services
YOUR PROFILE
- Master's degree in law or business administration; postgraduate studies in compliance or equivalent
- 3–5 years of experience in client onboarding at an international private bank
- Knowledge of the Swiss regulatory environment, particularly with regard to AML/CFT/DD rules and documentation standards
- Solid knowledge of the Americas and Iberia region
- A strong personality with good organizational and operational skills and a proven ability to work under pressure
- Independent, efficient, and meticulous work style; team-oriented and solution-oriented
- Fluency in English and German
- Proficiency in English and Portuguese and/or Spanish (spoken and written); knowledge of other languages is a plus
