Private Banking Support Specialist

The Private Banking Support Specialist supports the Head of Private Banking and the Head of Private Banking Support in Dubai in the monitoring and execution of regulatory, compliance and operational processes in the Private Banking area. The main responsibilities include account approval, client relationship monitoring and risk management.

Job description

Tasks

  • Approval of periodic relationships, business intermediaries and changes to Client Information Profiles (CIP)
  • Assess and approve new accounts in accordance with the authority delegated by the Head of Private Banking (HoPB) and ensure sufficient monitoring in this area
  • Tracking the timely completion of pending tasks (follow-ups) and resolution of issues related to client lifecycle activities
  • Ensuring the quality and timeliness of activities performed by the frontline, such as Client Information Profile (CIP) content, account documentation and periodic relationship reviews
  • Actively identify, manage and mitigate risks arising from operations, including but not limited to AML/KYC risks, cross-border transactions and suitability
  • Supporting the Head of Private Banking Support (HoPBS) in performing ex-ante controls of private banking activities and improving the control framework
  • Monitoring and approval of KYC lifecycle events (review, comment and approval of Client Information Profiles for account openings, periodic reviews, updates)
  • Approval of transfers (cash, cash equivalents, securities) and deviations, including sanctions-related transactions
  • Interface between the first and second line of defense
  • Various ad hoc projects, including training, in which private banking management is involved
  • Contribute to further strengthening the process in collaboration with CROs, HoPB, Operations and second line of defense to reduce relevant metrics for process duration and revision rate
  • Introduce and disseminate the use of platforms and tools that have been or will be introduced, including but not limited to Banker's Front, MD Dashboards, new advisory tool, Price Pro Run and eBanking. Function as a triage point for questions and suggestions for improvement

  • Experience in regulatory compliance business environment (3 to 5 years)
  • Knowledge in connection with AML regulations and sanctions
  • Fluent in English
