Private Markets Financial Operations - Direct Private Equity Operations & Valuation Specialist

Job description

We are looking for a Direct Private Equity Operations & Valuation Specialist to join our Private Markets Financial Operations. This is a high impact role combining the Investment Controlling and Investment teams, with a focus on direct private equity investments.

Main tasks:

• KPIs;
• Implementation of automated and standardized data collection and reporting workflows across the direct PE portfolio;
• Monitor periodic reconciliations of NAV, performance metrics and financial data to ensure consistency across internal systems and third party reports;
• Preparation of investor reports, performance summaries and board materials;
• Support with short-term liquidity management and long-term cash flow forecasting and modeling;
• Lead the onboarding processes for new direct investments into the CRM and internal systems to ensure accurate setup and data consistency across all platforms.

Valuation support and monitoring

• Support quarterly and annual valuation processes for direct PE investments in collaboration with investment teams and third party valuation experts;
• Review and improvement of valuation models in accordance with fair value guidelines and internal valuation policies;
• Analyze valuation inputs, comparables and market dynamics to validate key assumptions and ensure consistency;
• Function as an important point of contact during audits and evaluation reviews.

Platform development and strategic input

• Contribute learnings and best practices from previous roles to improve the scalability and efficiency of the direct operations platform, with a focus on reporting, data quality and assessment workflows;
• Collaborate with technology and investment teams to implement tools and technologies to optimize operational processes;
• Establish effective communication channels to ensure alignment with reporting expectations and valuation assumptions;
• Sharing best practices and mentoring junior colleagues to foster a culture of excellence and learning.

Process management and stakeholder coordination

• Document, refine and streamline operational and valuation processes, including the collection and validation of financial data from portfolio companies to reduce the operational burden on the investment team and ensure timely, accurate delivery;
• Coordination with fund administrators, tax advisors and other external service providers to support the preparation of information and ensure a smooth flow of information.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of relevant experience in private equity operations, portfolio reporting or valuation roles;
• Solid understanding of private equity structures and valuation methods (DCF, market comparisons, business transactions);
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with reporting or analysis tools (e.g. Power BI) and systems such as Anaplan or Snowflake is an advantage;
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and cultures.
