About the job

The Private Markets Fund team is looking for a motivated analyst with investment experience in alternatives. The position is based in Bangalore and involves a generalist role to support the expansion of our Middle East office. The individual will work with the broader Private Markets Funds team based in the US, London and Bangalore as well as the Investment Strategist in Dubai.

Tasks and expectations

  • Deep understanding of private investment strategies, including primary fund investments, equity co-investments, secondaries across various asset classes such as private equity, private credit and real estate
  • Assisting in the execution of private market fund investments and co-investments through due diligence, financial analysis and modeling. Preparation and presentation of memoranda and other presentations to the Investment Committee and other internal groups
  • Market research, investment analysis and financial modeling to support new product launches within private markets. Contribute to the ongoing monitoring and performance monitoring of existing products
  • Manage investment pacing and portfolio building for our clients, including assisting with the creation and presentation of materials, organizing and coordinating meetings
  • Participation in LP annual meetings, management presentations and other due diligence meetings. Constructing arguments for investment decisions and communicating them effectively orally and in writing
  • Liaise with other investment team members, operations, risk, operational due diligence and legal teams to prepare responses to prospectus or current client queries and deliver monitoring reports
  • Assumption of management tasks for ad hoc projects, ESG and market research
  • Familiarity with local laws in the Middle East and keeping up to date with market trends
  • Flexibility and willingness to work across different asset classes

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of relevant professional experience (e.g. private markets, venture capital, valuation advisory, investment banking)
  • MBA/Masters, CFA or CPA
  • Strong interest and intellectual curiosity in the private markets
  • Very good knowledge of financial analysis, modeling and valuation
  • Extensive knowledge of corporate finance and capital markets
  • Strong research skills, including qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple investment opportunities and projects
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
