Personal Financial Advisor

Avera Bank is seeking a flexible and customer-focused individual to fill the position of Personal Banking Advisor (60–90%) for a fixed-term contract from August 2026 to January 2027. The role involves advising clients, managing cash, and maintaining ATMs and coin-counting machines.

Job description

As a personal banking advisor, you are the first point of contact at the bank. Your responsibilities include:
  • Conducting consultations and assessments, and assisting customers in the customer service area
  • Overall responsibility for cash management, as well as maintenance of ATMs and coin counters
  • Identifying customer needs, actively advising customers, and tailoring the sale of products and services in the areas of banking, savings, and retirement planning
  • Identifying additional customer needs in the areas of investing, financing, and/or retirement planning, followed by referral to the appropriate internal sales units

Your profile

We are looking for someone with:
  • Basic business training (preferably in the banking sector)
  • Basic knowledge of numbers, saving, and planning for the future
  • Several years of experience advising clients
  • Strong customer and service focus, and a passion for proactive customer engagement
  • A communicative, engaging, and proactive personality
  • Pleasant manners and a well-groomed appearance
  • An independent, responsible, reliable, and meticulous work style
