Tasks

The Process Excellence Specialist in APAC is a hands-on role that will lead Target Operating Model (TOM) modifications and process excellence projects and initiatives at JB Singapore and Hong Kong to improve the customer experience, operational efficiency, risk control, and scalability. The candidate will collaborate with business partners and technology teams, both regionally and globally, to identify, prioritize, and execute a range of improvements, including:
  • Business case development: Lean Six Sigma, process mapping, and digital enablement, as applicable;
  • Change Adoption: Through structured change management.

Scope and Impact

  • Regional coverage: Singapore and Hong Kong, aligned with global TOM standards;
  • Stakeholders: Front-office, middle-office, and back-office risk, Legal, Compliance, Finance, COO/Operations, IT.

Your challenge

The most important tasks include:
  • Process excellence and TOM delivery;
  • Change management and adoption;
  • Ensuring that target processes comply with regulatory, legal, audit, risk, and compliance requirements;
  • Maintenance of audit-ready documentation and evidence of controls.

Your profile

The required skills include:

Technical requirements

  • Process excellence and TOM expertise: Experience in process reengineering, value stream mapping, business model definition, and control frameworks;
  • Lean Six Sigma: Green Belt (preferred) and the ability to apply DMAIC, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement techniques;
  • Digital transformation: Familiarity with process mining, workflow automation (BPA/BPM), and analytics tools;
  • Data-driven problem-solving: the ability to analyze performance trends, quantify benefits, and make fact-based decisions;
  • Change management: Experience in applying structured frameworks (e.g., ADKAR) to support adoption;
  • Risk and Compliance Awareness: Understanding of regulatory expectations, operational risks, and audit requirements in the banking sector.

Leadership and Behavioral Skills

  • Influence over stakeholders: Strong ability to align senior leaders and manage cross-functional teams without direct authority;
  • Strategic thinking: the ability to develop roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, and balance business needs with constraints;
