Process Manager – Banking Operations
The Process Manager is responsible for leading process automation and operational initiatives at Itaú Private Bank and is tasked with translating strategic goals into efficient operational practices. Job description
The Process Manager will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and improvement of process automation and operational initiatives for Itaú Private Bank. This role ensures that strategic goals are translated into efficient operational practices to deliver high-quality customer and internal experiences that reflect Itaú’s commitment to excellence in private banking.Tasks and responsibilities
The main duties and responsibilities include:- Leading the implementation and execution of new process designs, automation initiatives, operational improvements, and the ongoing modernization of banking systems and workflows
- Monitoring strategic rollout efforts to ensure that processes are scalable, compliant, and aligned with customer needs
- Collaborating with various departments to implement process improvements and balance innovation with operational feasibility and regulatory requirements
Strategy and Vision
The responsibilities include:- Ongoing leadership in the strategic direction of process automation and operational improvement
- Ensuring alignment among stakeholders across Operations, IT, Risk, and Compliance to ensure efficiency, risk control, and regulatory compliance
- Using customer and internal insights to continuously improve the banking experience and ensure operational excellence
Process Definition and Design
The responsibilities include:- Lead the design of new processes and automation initiatives to ensure they are feasible, compliant, and deliver value to customers and internal teams
- Promoting a collaborative approach to develop effective solutions
- Ensuring that operational processes enhance the customer experience, support business growth, and strengthen risk controls
Manufacturing and Delivery
The responsibilities include:- Assume the role of project manager within a squad to oversee the implementation and rollout of process improvements and automation initiatives
- Collaborate with IT and Operations to ensure that solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic goals
- Monitoring and measuring results using operational and customer experience KPIs to continuously refine processes
Requirements
The requirements include:- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, engineering, information systems, or a related field. Master’s degree (MBA) preferred
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in banking operations, process management, or financial services consulting
- Project Management: PMP or Prince2 certification preferred; proven experience in managing cross-functional projects
- Agile Delivery: Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) with experience leading squads or Agile teams
- Process and improvement: Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification is a plus. Experience in the
