- Mars Group is looking for a Procurement Manager to join the team on a permanent basis in London. You will be responsible for structuring your day-to-day work around the various aspects of procurement, with the goal of both increasing business revenue through supplier negotiations and ensuring compliance with the company's operating procedures.
- Ideally, successful applicants will have experience working in the finance industry or related fields, and a proven track record of driving changes in methodology and introducing fresh ideas to the business.
Your Day-to-Day Life
- You’ll work closely with the Procurement Department and with colleagues on the Finance and Procurement teams. Given your experience, you’ll be responsible for managing the following areas:
- Creating and maintaining strategic sourcing strategies for routine and strategic procurement services across our global enterprise
- Developing procurement policies and processes, while remaining mindful of risk mitigation measures
- Monitoring market conditions in relation to strategic accounts, products, and pricing
- Engaging with key external stakeholders, including third-party lenders or sellers, suppliers, banks, and regulators
- Building strong relationships with senior decision-makers within the clients' and suppliers' organizations
- Mentoring and supporting new employees and junior staff on the Procurement Team
You must
- Hold a relevant degree in a related field, such as finance, procurement, banking, or a similar discipline
- Have an understanding of U.K. financial and regulatory standards and comply with them
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and the ability to work independently, both as a team player and as an individual contributor
Ideally, you will have
- Knowledge in the areas of finance, commodities, banking, consulting, and regulatory finance
- Gained a thorough understanding of vendor requirements, systems, and process improvement techniques
- Conducted market surveys, analyzed results, and presented findings to senior stakeholders
- Developed tools and business processes that increase efficiency and reduce errors
