Product Owner, Client and Employee Channels (100%) (f/m/d)

Julius Baer is seeking a Product Owner for Client and Employee Channels who will lead and be responsible for digital work processes with a client-focused mindset. The ideal candidate has experience as a Product Owner at a financial institution or in a similar environment and possesses strong leadership skills and the ability to develop and implement complex digital solutions.

Tasks

  • Collaborate with business, technology, markets, and product teams to design end-to-end digital user experiences; gather requirements, define features, and drive prioritization and delivery
  • Understands customer needs to shape the product vision, guide stakeholder engagement, manage change priorities, and align a well-structured backlog with epics and features
  • Takes full responsibility for assigned products throughout their entire lifecycle, ensuring that regulatory requirements are met and performance is optimal
  • Collaborate with Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to deliver features, manage dependencies between ARTs, and make trade-off decisions
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to executives and senior stakeholders, presents design and implementation strategies, and incorporates ongoing user feedback
  • Supports change management by planning and facilitating training to develop accessible customer and frontline engagement materials
  • Strengthens product ownership practices through structured backlogs, clear accountability, and consistent refinement
  • Uses behavioral analysis and usability testing to iterate on and improve the customer experience
  • Establishes adoption frameworks and feedback mechanisms to ensure that products meet evolving customer needs
  • Works closely with legal and compliance departments to assess the regulatory implications of digital solutions
  • Uphold the Bank’s values and standards by demonstrating integrity, diligence, fairness toward customers, effective management of conflicts of interest, competence, and compliance with all applicable rules and risk protocols

Requirements

  • Proven track record (8–10 years) as a Product Owner in a financial institution, fintech, technology, or consulting environment, preferably within customer-focused digital banking or wealth management platforms
  • Proven success in designing and executing a product vision and strategy, and managing the entire lifecycle of digital solutions—from conception to scaling—with a focus on improving end-to-end e-banking customer journeys, including core components such as the home page, navigation, and account overview
  • Strong expertise in product discovery practices, leveraging customer insights, behavioral data, and usability testing to prioritize features that drive engagement, satisfaction, and operational efficiency
  • Proven ability to strike a balance between innovation and risk-averse decision-making, applying business acumen, control principles, and data analysis to inform product direction and trade-offs
  • Experience leading cross-functional, global teams and communicating with stakeholders at all levels, particularly in complex, regulated environments
