Julius Baer is seeking a Product Owner for Client and Employee Channels who will lead digital work streams with a client-centric mindset and define the product vision. The Product Owner is responsible for the entire product lifecycle and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job description: Product Owner - Client and Employee Channels

Your challenge

  • Functional: Collaborate with business, technology, market, and product teams to design digital user journeys. Gather and define requirements, design and prioritize features, collaborate with technology and other team members on delivery.
  • Understanding internal and external customer needs, deriving the overall product vision, leading stakeholder management, prioritizing cross-cutting changes, and managing the backlog along the epics and features prioritized in the Quarterly Business Review (QBR)
  • Responsibility for assigned products over their life cycle and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to build the required functionality. Responsible for managing dependencies across ARTs and ensuring that trade-offs and prioritization decisions are managed.
  • Manage business and senior stakeholders as partners and trusted advisors. Ensure continuous user feedback loops during agile delivery. Ability to articulate the design, change, and implementation strategy through presentation materials.
  • Collaborate with Change Management to plan and orchestrate training activities. Create easy-to-understand training and engagement materials for customers and front office staff.
  • Establishing proven project management practices with structure, clear roles and responsibilities, refinement of the backlog, etc.
  • Extracting relevant insights from online customer behavior and usability testing to continuously iterate the customer journey and improve the product experience
  • Implementation of a framework to promote adoption and usage, establishment of a feedback loop to ensure that the product meets customer needs

Regulatory responsibilities, risk management

  • Work with legal and compliance teams to assess regulatory considerations for digital solutions
  • Demonstrate appropriate values and behaviors, including but not limited to standards of honesty and integrity, care and diligence, fair treatment (fair treatment of clients), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, appropriate risk management and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Requirements

  • 3-10 years of experience, with 2+ years of experience as a product owner in a financial institution, fintech, technology, or consulting company
  • Experience defining a vision and strategy for a digital solution, product, or service, and successfully managing the entire product lifecycle from idea phase to scaling, including integrating user feedback into product requirements and prioritization.
  • Familiarity with customer needs in wealth management and senior asset & private banking. Good understanding of business processes, process design, and process re-engineering, particularly in the areas of channels, digital notifications, online trading, and portfolio and position management.
