Product Owner - Client and Employee Channels
The Product Owner - Client and Employee Channels is responsible for managing digital work streams at Julius Baer and will use a client-focused approach to shape the digital user experience for clients and employees. The successful candidate will be part of the Client & Employee Channels team and will be responsible for developing the product vision, defining requirements, and collaborating with various teams.

Tasks
- Functional: Collaborate with business, technology, market, and product teams to design digital user journeys. Gather and define requirements, design and prioritize features, collaborate with technology and other team members on delivery.
- Understanding internal and external customer needs, deriving the overall product vision, leading stakeholder management, prioritizing high-level changes, and managing the backlog along the epics and features prioritized in the Quarterly Business Review (QBR)
- Responsibility for assigned products over their life cycle and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to build the required functionality. Responsible for managing dependencies across ARTs and ensuring that trade-offs and prioritization decisions are managed.
- Manage business and senior stakeholders as partners and trusted advisors. Ensure continuous user feedback loops during agile delivery. Comfortable articulating design, change, and implementation strategy through presentation materials.
- Collaborate with Change Management to plan and orchestrate training activities. Create easy-to-understand training and engagement materials for customers and front office staff.
- Establishing proven project management practices with structure, clear roles and responsibilities, refinement of the backlog, etc.
- Extracting relevant insights from customer online behavior and usability tests in order to continuously iterate customer journeys and improve the product experience
- Implementation of a framework to promote adoption and usage, establishment of a feedback loop to ensure that the product meets customer needs
Regulatory responsibilities and risk management
- Work with legal and compliance teams to assess regulatory considerations for digital solutions
- Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviors, including but not limited to standards of honesty and integrity, care and diligence, fair dealing (fair treatment of customers), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, appropriate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
- 5+ years or 7+ years of experience as a product owner in a financial institution, insurance company, technology company, or consulting firm
- Experience defining a vision and strategy for a digital solution, product, or service, and successfully managing the entire product lifecycle from idea phase to scaling, including integrating user feedback into product requirements and prioritization.
- Familiarity with customer needs in wealth management and private banking. Good understanding of business processes, process design, and digital notifications, online trading, and portfolio and position management.
- Experience with product discovery and delivery concepts to understand user needs, identify opportunities and demonstrate successful, effective delivery
- Knowledge of agile methods and experience in partnering with research, design, change, and technology in a design thinking and agile framework
- Proven ability to solve problems and make decisions. Successful prioritization of trade-offs through objective evaluation of opportunities vs. potential pitfalls.
- Ability to manage global virtual teams and communicate with stakeholders at every level
- Strong analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to solve problems in a demanding and challenging environment
- Ability to apply sound business acumen, risk and control principles, and data analysis techniques to gain insights and guide decisions
