Product Owner - Client and Employee Channels

Julius Baer Bank is looking for a Product Owner for Client and Employee Channels who will manage digital work processes with a customer-focused approach and be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as a Product Owner in a financial institution or similar company.

Your challenge

As Product Owner - Client and Employee Channels, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Work with business, technology, markets, and product teams to design digital user experiences. Gather and define requirements, design and prioritize features, and work with technology and other team members on delivery.
  • Understand internal and external customer needs, derive the overall product vision, lead stakeholder management, prioritize comprehensive change, and prioritize the backlog along the epics and features defined in the Quarterly Business Review (QBR).
  • Take responsibility for assigned products throughout their entire life cycle and ensure that they comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to create the required functionality. Responsible for managing dependencies between ARTs and ensuring that trade-offs and prioritization decisions are made.
  • Lead business partners and senior managers as partners and trusted advisors. Ensure continuous user feedback loops during agile delivery. Confidently present design, change, and implementation strategies.
  • Work with the change management team to plan and orchestrate training activities. Create easy-to-understand training and engagement materials for customers and front office staff.
  • Establish strong project management practices, with structure, clear roles and responsibilities, refinement of the backlog, etc.
  • Extract relevant insights from customer online behavior and client usability testing to continuously iterate the customer journey and improve the product experience.
  • Implement a framework to promote adoption and usage, and establish a feedback loop to ensure that the product meets customer needs.

Regulatory responsibilities, risk management

  • Work with legal and compliance teams to evaluate regulatory aspects of digital solutions
  • Demonstrate appropriate values and behaviors, including but not limited to standards of honesty and integrity, diligence and prudence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), conflict management, competence and continuous development, appropriate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years or 3+ years of experience as a product owner in a financial institution, insurance company, technology company, or consulting firm
  • Experience defining a vision and strategy for a digital solution, product, or service, and successfully managing the entire product lifecycle from idea phase to scaling, including integrating user feedback into product requirements and prioritization.
  • Familiarity with the needs of wealth management and private banking clients. Good understanding of business processes, process design, and reengineering, particularly in the areas of channels, digital notifications, online trading, and portfolio and position management.
  • Experience with product discovery and delivery concepts to understand user needs, identify opportunities, and ensure successful, effective delivery.
