Product Owner Data Analytics Platform

Tasks

The position involves responsibility for developing and maintaining sustainable products (services, applications, or tools) that meet customer needs throughout the entire product life cycle. The main tasks include:

• Defining and prioritizing the product backlog for the data and analytics platform to ensure that it aligns with business objectives and customer needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other agile teams and business partners, to design, develop, and deliver new features and capabilities.
• Promoting the use of the data platform by identifying potential use cases
• Application of agile methods to manage the development process, including sprint planning, backlog maintenance, and retrospectives
• Ensuring that the design, implementation, and maintenance of the data analytics platform correspond to the current state of the art and methods
• Ensuring that the data analytics team applies software development and engineering excellence to achieve their goals
• Ensuring data quality, security, and compliance by implementing data validation and access controls
• Stay up to date with new trends and technologies in data engineering, data science, and cloud computing, and evaluate their potential impact on the platform.
• Communicating complex technical concepts and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and negotiating priorities and expectations

Requirements

The position requires:

Additional requirements:

• 10+ years of experience as a data engineer or similar role, with at least 2 years of experience as a product owner or similar role
• Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; an advanced degree or certification in data science, engineering, or a related field is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of computer science, software engineering, or a related field, with expert knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
