Product Owner Data Analytics Platform

Tasks

The position as Product Owner Data Analytics Platform includes the following tasks:

• Define and prioritize the product backlog for the data and analytics platform to ensure that it aligns with business objectives and customer needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other agile teams and business partners, to design, develop, and deliver new features and capabilities.
• Promoting adoption of the data platform by identifying potential use cases
• Application of agile methods to manage the development process, including sprint planning, backlog maintenance, and retrospectives
• Ensure that the design, implementation, and maintenance of the data analytics platform correspond to the current state of the art and methods.
• Ensure that the Data Analytics team applies software development and engineering excellence to achieve its goals.
• Ensuring data quality, security, and compliance by implementing data validation and access controls
• Communicating complex technical concepts and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and negotiating priorities and expectations

Professional and technical requirements

The following professional and technical requirements apply to this position:

• 10+ years of experience as a data engineer or similar role, with at least 2 years of experience as a product owner or similar role
• Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; an advanced degree or certification in data science, engineering, or a related field is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of computer science, software development, or a related field, with expertise in data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
• Experience with data platform technologies, including Spark, DeltaLake, NoSQL databases, and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Azure Fabric)
• Knowledge of one or more programming languages, such as Python or Scala
