Tasks

The role of Product Owner Data Analytics Platform includes the following tasks:

• Define and prioritize the product backlog for the data and analytics platform to ensure it aligns with business objectives and customer needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other agile teams and business partners, to design, develop, and deliver new features and capabilities.
• Promoting adoption of the data platform by identifying potential use cases
• Application of agile methods to manage the development process, including sprint planning, backlog maintenance, and retrospectives
• Ensure that the design, implementation, and maintenance of the data analytics platform correspond to the current state of the art and methods.
• Ensure that the data analytics team applies software development and engineering excellence to achieve its goals.
• Ensuring data quality, security, and compliance by implementing data validation and access controls
• Stay up to date with new trends and technologies in data engineering, data science, and cloud computing, and evaluate their potential impact on the platform.
• Communicate complex technical concepts and compromises to non-technical stakeholders and negotiate priorities and expectations

Requirements

Technical requirements

The following technical requirements are necessary:

• 10+ years of experience as a data engineer or similar role, with at least 2 years of experience as a product owner or similar role
• Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; an advanced degree or certification in data science, engineering, or a related field is an advantage
• Strong background in computer science, software development, or a related field, with expertise in data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
• Experience with data platform technologies, including Spark, DeltaLake, NoSQL databases, and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Azure Fabric)
• Knowledge of one or more programming languages, such as Python or Scala
