Job description

Product Owner – Payments & Regulatory Compliance 100% (m/f/d) - (Contract through our external payroll partner with immediate start for 12 months with possible extension)

Tasks

• Creation of scenarios and user stories
• Coordination with the Legal, Compliance, IT Security, and Innovation teams to balance usability, security, and regulatory compliance
• Support during UAT and regulatory testing phases to ensure that all payment controls are functioning as intended prior to production release

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, information technology, business administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional experience in payments, digital banking, or compliance within a regulated financial institution
• Deep understanding of Swiss and European ePayment regulations, including PSD2, PSD3, Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), eBill, and Instant Payments
• Proven ability to gather, analyze, and document comprehensive end-to-end business requirements for payment systems
• Practical experience in designing and managing secure transaction authorization models and approval workflows
• Successful integration of payment solutions across multi-channel platforms while ensuring control integrity and auditability
• Experience in leading compliance assessments and creating control documentation (e.g., process flows, RACI matrices, control matrices)
• Successful experience in obtaining formal approvals from legal, compliance, and control functions
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to collaborate effectively with IT security, innovation, and product teams
• Fluency in English is mandatory; solid German language skills are an advantage.
• Certifications such as CPP, POFM, PSPO, or CSPO are considered a strong advantage.
