- Front Office Investment Trading Application Support Specialist (Equities - Fixed Income)
What we are looking for
- The Support Specialist assists customers after the implementation of the Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS).
- Your contributions include defining new customer requirements, configuring and testing the application to meet customers' business and technical needs, training users, testing workflows, and troubleshooting issues.
- The specialist will work with Charles River Technology Support to resolve application issues and determine the optimal configuration.
What you will do
- FPSSs are expected to have strong industry knowledge across multiple asset classes.
- In addition, FPSS team members are responsible for managing the CRD/Alpha ecosystem and establishing relationships with the various internal support teams.
- Analysis and assessment of implementation issues during the provision of product knowledge and guidance during the post-go-live journey.
- Training customers on the methods and functions provided by CRMS, advising on best practices for implementing and operating Charles River solutions and services.
- Collaborate with Product Management to enhance Charles River solutions and services.
- Responsibility for maintaining a customer issue list and status report.
- Customer focus and influence.
- Other requirements for new asset classes, security types, and/or business line software development.
- Collaborate with Professional Services teams to design specialized resources that complement the deliverables.
- Contribution to software quality through clear communication of errors to client support and product management.
What we value
- At least 5 years of experience implementing and/or supporting mission-critical financial solutions.
- Experience in implementing and/or supporting a financial system within a bank, hedge fund, asset manager, or asset management company is equally valuable.
- Strong focus on the implementation or support of investment management software, preferably on data management and cross-asset solutions.
- Candidates are one or more of the following: fixed-income securities, stocks, financial instruments.
- Understanding of investment management or asset management workflows, derivatives, and FX instruments.
- Technical ability to understand complex multi-tier technical architectures and link database structures, familiarity with SQL, FIX, and reporting tools.
Education and relevant qualifications
- Four-year degree in a business or technical field such as finance, mathematical finance, economics, engineering, or computer science.
- A postgraduate degree or industry certification such as a CFA is a strong advantage.
- 2 to 5+ years of experience.
- Travel according to customer requirements.
