Project Portfolio Manager

Job description

The position of Project Portfolio Manager offers the opportunity to actively steer strategically important initiatives and make a real impact on the company’s future development. The role operates at the intersection of strategy, projects, and stakeholders.

Tasks

The tasks include:

• Starting, stopping, or rescheduling projects
• Ensuring that objectives are met at the portfolio level (budget, deadlines, quality) and consistently following up on actions
• Establishment and further development of a reliable portfolio reporting system, including monitoring and management guidance
• Conducting regular status and quality reviews with project managers (including verifying the accuracy of status reports, forecasts, and timelines for target projects)
• Technical guidance and methodological support for project managers through clear standards and regular status reviews
• Testing, analyzing, and evaluating requirements, as well as communicating actively and in a manner tailored to the audience across various hierarchical levels
• Coordination with team leaders and support partners regarding roadmaps, capacity, and delivery commitments, as well as escalation in the event of priority discrepancies
• Close collaboration with the various roles in change request, test, and release management to ensure a smooth delivery process

Requirements

The requirements include:

• Several years of experience in project or project portfolio management with proven leadership responsibilities
• Strong analytical skills in Jira, ideally in the context of portfolio and project management
• Strong analytical skills and a good understanding of business concepts
• A high degree of personal responsibility, as well as the ability to proactively drive initiatives forward and make decisions
