Project Portfolio Manager

Job description

The position of Project Portfolio Manager (80–100%) offers the opportunity to actively steer strategically important initiatives and make a real impact on the company’s future development.

Tasks

- Initiating, halting, or rescheduling projects - Ensuring that portfolio-level objectives are met (budget, deadlines, quality) and consistently following up on actions - Establishing and refining a reliable portfolio reporting system, including monitoring and steering initiatives - Conducting regular status and quality reviews with project managers (including validation of status, forecasts, and goal achievement) - Providing technical guidance and methodological support to project managers through clear standards and regular status reviews - Testing, drafting, and communicating status reports, as well as active and audience-appropriate communication across various hierarchical levels - Coordinating with managers and support teams on roadmaps, capacities, and delivery commitments, as well as escalating deviations from priorities - Close collaboration with those responsible for change request, test, and release management to ensure a smooth delivery process

Requirements

- Several years of experience in project or project portfolio management with proven leadership experience - Strong proficiency in Jira, ideally in the context of portfolio and project management - Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of business contexts - A high degree of personal responsibility, along with the ability to proactively drive initiatives forward and make decisions
