Job description

The position of Project Portfolio Manager offers the opportunity to actively steer strategically important initiatives and make a real impact on the company’s future development. The role sits at the intersection of strategy, projects, and stakeholders.

Tasks

The tasks include:
  • Starting, stopping, or rescheduling projects
  • Ensuring that objectives are met at the portfolio level (budget, deadlines, quality) and consistently following up on actions
  • Establishment and further development of a reliable portfolio reporting system, including monitoring and management guidance
  • Conducting regular status and quality reviews with project managers (including verifying the accuracy of status updates and forecasts, and resolving conflicting objectives)
  • Technical guidance and methodological support for project managers through clear standards and regular status reviews
  • Testing, evaluating, and reporting to stakeholders, as well as active and audience-focused communication regarding the current status of projects
  • Coordinate with suppliers and implementation partners regarding roadmaps, capacities, and delivery commitments, and escalate any deviations from priorities
  • Close collaboration with the teams responsible for change request management, testing, and release management to ensure a smooth delivery process

Requirements

The requirements include:
  • Several years of experience in project or project portfolio management with proven leadership responsibilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ideally in the context of portfolio and project management
  • Strong analytical skills and a good understanding of business concepts
  • A high degree of personal responsibility, as well as the ability to proactively drive initiatives forward and make decisions
