Proxy Voting, Senior Analyst

Man Group is seeking a Senior Analyst for its Proxy Voting team in London who has experience in investment operations or a related field and will focus on supporting the proxy voting process. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day management of proxy voting activities, supporting investment operations, and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.

Job Profile Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented person to join our proxy voting team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a specialized and high-profile area of investment voting or corporate actions. You will develop in-depth expertise in the mechanisms, processes, and best practices of proxy voting and corporate actions. You will support the entire proxy voting process and work closely with team members to ensure the accurate and timely execution of voting activities across all asset classes.

key tasks

  • Proxy Voting Support: Support for the day-to-day management of proxy voting activities, including ballot processing, trade operations, and compliance with client policies.
  • Platform Operations: Developing expertise in proxy voting platforms (e.g., Glass Lewis or equivalent).
  • Investment Operations Support: Providing support for the accurate and timely processing of client and internal trade tickets.
  • Workflow Support: Managing voting workflows to ensure that deadlines are met and issues are escalated as needed.
  • Data Quality: Support for reconciliation, exception handling, and maintenance of accurate records and audit trails for all proxy voting activities.
  • Compliance Support: Ensuring that voting activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements and client accounts, and reporting potential issues or discrepancies to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Reporting: Assistance with the preparation of client-oriented voting reports and management information.
  • Process Improvement: Participating in initiatives to improve operational efficiency and supporting the automation of processes and controls.
  • Communication with Third Parties: Communication with custodians, prime brokers, brokers, agents, and external teams to ensure the timely and accurate setup and processing of voting instructions.

Experience and qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in an investment operations, fund management, or related financial services role.
  • Exposure to proxy voting processes, platforms, and/or corporate actions.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A good understanding of financial instruments, fund structures, and/or capital markets.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, or prior experience in supporting corporate actions.
