Proxy Voting Team Leader/Supervisor
Man Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented team leader for its proxy voting team who can manage complex proxy voting processes and support the team in preparing and continuously improving the function. The successful candidate should possess strong technical and operational expertise as well as leadership skills to effectively lead the team and optimize processes.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented person to join our proxy voting team. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical and operational expertise with the ability to proactively manage complex proxy voting processes and transactions and ensure the efficient, accurate, and timely delivery of instructions.Focus of activities
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing complex proxy voting processes to save time for our institutional clients and investment managers, while supporting the proxy voting team in preparing and continuously improving the function.Tasks
- Operational Ownership – Taking a leadership role in managing proxy voting activities across the entire Man Group. - Team Supervision – Providing daily leadership, guidance, and support to the proxy voting team; assisting with training, workload distribution, and quality assurance of team performance. - Proxy Voting – Managing and executing proxy voting processes (e.g., research, analysis) for proxy engagements (new or existing) to support stakeholder management, voting disclosure, and the onboarding of new users. - Workflow Oversight – Monitoring and managing workflows within the team; identifying bottlenecks or risks and agreeing on improvement processes to mitigate them; monitoring and managing service-level agreements with internal stakeholders. - Data Quality & Controls – Responsibility for ensuring compliance with data quality standards within the function; monitoring continuous improvements; proactively identifying and implementing operational improvements; assessing systemic issues as needed. - Regulatory & Client Compliance – Understanding regulatory requirements and client-specific accounts; assisting with the interpretation and implementation of regulatory guidance and compliance policies. - Stakeholder Management – Building and maintaining effective relationships with key internal stakeholders (Portfolio Management, Legal and Compliance, ESG/Responsible Investment) and external partners (custodians, intermediaries). - Reporting & Governance – Leading the preparation of reconciliation reports, MSLs, and materials for internal governance committees and client reports; ensuring that these outputs are accurate, timely, and appropriate. - Technology & Process – Leading and/or contributing to the redesign of technology and processes, exploring automation opportunities, and enhancing controls; contributing to the redesign of technology and processes. - Procedure Ownership – Maintaining and updating operational procedures to ensure that documentation is current, comprehensive, and compliant with regulatory requirements and best practices.Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in investment operations, with experience in an operational role or leading a project/initiative to completion. - Knowledge of at least one industry-standard proxy voting platform (e.g., Glass Lewis, ISS Proxy Exchange, or equivalent). - Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end voting workflows, including in high-volume or time-sensitive scenarios. - Operational experience maintaining high standards of data quality, including reconciliation and exception handling. - Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., SFDR II). - EERA, SEC requirements, if applicable. - Experience working with multiple fund structures or transactions.Job details
