Prudential Reporting Manager
The Reporting Manager at Man Group supports compliance with prudential regulatory requirements and is responsible for preparing and submitting regulatory reports, as well as ensuring the quality of calculations. The role requires close collaboration with various subject matter experts and teams within the company.
The role
This role plays a key part in managing Man Group’s prudential regulatory requirements and supports the Head of Financial and Prudential Reporting. This includes preparing and submitting regulatory filings, validating and ensuring the quality of calculations, and preparing regulatory submissions and supporting documentation. This role is highly collaborative and involves professionals from the finance, financial risk, and non-financial risk functions, as well as the treasury management and operations teams.Your Responsibilities
- Assistance in preparing capital and liquidity models (e.g., operational, investment portfolio, credit risk, Solvency II) and ensuring that they meet stakeholder requirements and are aligned with capital and financial performance.
- Performing and maintaining calculations, including capital and solvency positions, and preparing documentation for the ECA and the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) for the Group.
- Maintain the detailed models and assumptions, assist the business in identifying and documenting changes to the assumptions, and incorporate these changes into the models as needed.
- Ensuring that CIGLR and Pillar 2 ICAAP disclosures (solvency and capital adequacy) are prepared.
- Served as secretary of the Pillar II/ORSA sub-working group.
- Preparation of monthly prudential calculations, reports, and regulatory feedback for regulated entities and groups.
- Oversee the impact of regulatory changes and changes in the units’ activities on prudential requirements, and update internal documentation as necessary.
- Communicate with other teams within Finance as a point of escalation to ensure that support and the exchange of information with them are handled in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
- Other tasks to support the broader finance team as needed from time to time.
Your skills / qualifications
- Professional qualifications.
- Prudential regulations: Experience with ICARA or CIGAR is essential; knowledge of FCA MiFID PR/EMIR regulations or similar is highly desirable.
- IT skills: Proficient in using Excel and able to quickly learn new systems.
- Business acumen: An understanding of alternative fund strategies and asset management based on experience.
- Soft skills: The ability to communicate complex ideas in a technical context or to non-technical audiences; experience in this area is a plus.
- Core competencies: collaboration, communication, organizational skills, and presentation skills, along with the ability to interact confidently with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to prepare and present materials clearly, accurately, and concisely in a manner appropriate for senior management and stakeholders.
