Prudential Reporting Manager
The Reporting Manager at Man Group in London supports compliance with prudential regulatory requirements and is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and validating calculations, as well as preparing regulatory filings and documentation. The role requires close collaboration with various subject matter experts and teams within the company.
The role
This role plays a key part in managing Man Group’s prudential regulatory requirements and supports the Head of Financial and Prudential Reporting. This includes preparing, reviewing, and validating calculations, as well as preparing regulatory filings and supporting documentation. This role is highly collaborative and works closely with professionals in Finance, Financial Risk, and Non-Financial Risk, as well as the Investment Management and Operations teams.Your Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of capital and liquidity models (e.g., operational, investment book, credit risk, market risk, solvency, and economic capital) and associated analyses and metrics, in collaboration with the broader market risk and investment teams, to ensure that the models and their outputs can be explained and challenged
- Activation and maintenance of calculations, including the creation of collateral packages and statements, and preparation of documentation related to the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) for GRC
- Review of the detailed solvency models to ensure they are consistent with actual figures; identification and documentation of relevant changes to the models and associated regulatory requirements
- Ensuring the GRCAA (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) Starling Control Matrix
- Role as Secretary of the GRCAA Subcommittee
- Preparation of monthly prudential calculations, returns, and regulatory filings for regulated entities/EEA subsidiaries
- Monitoring the impact of regulatory changes and changes in business unit activity on prudential requirements, and updating internal documentation as necessary
- Collaborate with other teams within Finance as a point of escalation to ensure that support and information are provided in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner
- Other tasks to support the broader finance team as needed
Your skills / qualifications
- Professional Qualifications
- Prudential regulation: Experience with ICAA or CIGAP is essential. Knowledge of FCA MiFID/PRU rules or similar regulations
- Technical skills: C++ preferred, with strong Excel skills and the ability to learn new systems
- Ability to conduct analyses with a strong attention to detail and prepare reports/feedback
- Business acumen: Understanding of alternative investment strategies and asset management operations
- Soft skills: This role would be a plus
- Strong skills in collaboration, communication, organization, and presentation, along with the ability to confidently interact with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to think clearly and communicate clearly and concisely, in a manner appropriate for both technical and non-technical audiences
