Python Associate Engineer
As a Python Associate Engineer at Man Group, you will develop software solutions for risk management and support the further development of technologies. The position offers a mix of regular tasks and projects in which you will work closely with business partners and technology experts.
Job description: Python Associate Engineer
Tasks
- Owning the end-to-end delivery process, from requirements gathering through to development, testing, and coordinating deployment to production
- Participating in the planning, design, and delivery of longer-term projects
- Participating in code reviews and knowledge sharing to help improve technical quality
- Collaborate with stakeholders across IT to successfully deliver continual improvements to production capabilities such as reducing technical debt, increasing release quality, and improving resource utilization.
- Contributing to the adoption of best practices and helping to improve business knowledge and understanding within the team
- Support for production systems and BAU requests
Requirements
Excellent
- Strong delivery-focused approach, achieving business value in being met
- Python development with a strong understanding of data structures
- Familiarity with Linux environments
- Willingness to learn new technologies and programming languages
- Problem-solving skills and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to balance business delivery and incremental adoption of new architectural platform features
