Python Associate Engineer

As a Python Associate Engineer at Man Group, you will develop software solutions for risk management and support the further development of technologies. The position offers a mix of regular tasks and projects in which you will work closely with business partners and technology experts.

Job description: Python Associate Engineer

Tasks

  • Owning the end-to-end delivery process, from requirements gathering through to development, testing, and coordinating deployment to production
  • Participating in the planning, design, and delivery of longer-term projects
  • Participating in code reviews and knowledge sharing to help improve technical quality
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across IT to successfully deliver continual improvements to production capabilities such as reducing technical debt, increasing release quality, and improving resource utilization.
  • Contributing to the adoption of best practices and helping to improve business knowledge and understanding within the team
  • Support for production systems and BAU requests

Requirements

Excellent

  • Strong delivery-focused approach, achieving business value in being met
  • Python development with a strong understanding of data structures
  • Familiarity with Linux environments
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and programming languages
  • Problem-solving skills and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to balance business delivery and incremental adoption of new architectural platform features
