Python Data Engineer

Tasks

• Work on a data engineering team within the Distribution & Engineering team at Man Group.
• Upstream Data Streaming with Real-Time Kafka Pipelines.
• Downstream Data Extraction.
• Collaborating with technical and non-technical colleagues across various technologies and integration scopes.

Requirements

• Experience as a data engineer with skills and experience in upstream data collection and analytical tasks.
• Contribute as a first-class citizen.
• Perfect or near-perfect command of the English language.

Useful Knowledge

• Experience with open-source tools, RDBMS, and OOD, particularly with Amazon, Oracle, or Aerospike.
• Knowledge of Big Spark and its components (e.g., Pivotal HD 8SSS) as well as other virtualization tools.
• Experience with a DevOps platform.
• Very strong working knowledge of Apache Hadoop.
• Very strong working knowledge of Apache Kafka.
• Experience in big data, Spark Streaming, and data integration.
