QA Automation Engineer 100% (f/m/d)
As a QA Automation Engineer at Julius Baer in Madrid, you will be responsible for the quality assurance of software products and will work in an agile team to perform test automation and manual testing. You should have experience in test automation, test case design, and defect management, as well as at least 5 years of experience in the industry.
Your challenge
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be part of an agile team. Your responsibilities will include:- Working as an embedded QA Automation Engineer in an agile team
- Responsibility for all aspects of the team's software quality
- Design of test cases to ensure adequate coverage of requirements and their execution
- Identification of tests for test automation
- Automation of identified test cases with Playwright and Typescript at UI or API level
- Conducting manual testing as needed, including periods during which manual testing may be the primary responsibility
- Creation or organization of the necessary test data
- Maintenance (add, remove, update) of regression test cases
- Execution and documentation of test execution in an audit-proof manner
- Ability to read and write a few lines of code in Java or C#, if necessary

Your profile
We are looking for a candidate with:- Experience working in an agile team; experience in a DevOps environment is a strong plus
- Experience in leading or supporting all testing initiatives of an agile team from development to acceptance testing
- Strong experience in test case design (TCD) to ensure adequate coverage of requirements and acceptance criteria
- Experience in risk-based testing
- 5+ years of general experience in test automation covering UI and API
- Ability to perform manual testing when necessary, including periods during which manual testing may be the primary responsibility
- Independent exploration of the database to find relevant test data
- Proficiency in Jira; basic knowledge of XRAY is a plus
- Additional experience that is not required but is a strong plus: cloud technologies, web application architecture, and banking domain expertise related to client lifecycle management
- Excellent English skills (C1/C2), fluent Spanish is a big plus
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
