The QA Team Lead is responsible for developing and implementing quality initiatives in the software development process and is expected to implement best practices and innovative testing strategies as part of the central QA team. The candidate should have experience in test automation and process automation and be able to lead and communicate with a team.

Summary
This product leadership role is responsible for creating and implementing quality initiatives throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). The leader will work as a member of the core QA team to implement industry best practices and innovative testing strategies to ensure CDO delivers exceptional quality products that delight our customers.Tasks
- Work with the Director of QA Programs to further develop the CDO testing process to make it the industry standard for financial application testing
- Creation and adoption of roadmaps for planning and execution in a department
- Expansion of test coverage with manual and automated functional, integration, regression and performance tests
- Ensure effective and efficient test operations by evaluating and enhancing department metrics - Identify risks to project schedule and product quality, propose mitigation methods
- Participate in key team meetings to ensure the use of best practice integration testing practices
- Collaboration with product owners and ensuring appropriate transfer/correct creation and transfer of test processes
- Manage the test organization to align tools, processes and training with the quality organization's expanding test coverage and adopt and assimilate new technologies that directly impact product quality
- Evaluate and define test metrics that emphasize customer focus, repeatability and data-driven
- Ensure client patch requests are properly assessed to determine root cause and verify testing needs
- Audit of the test process for patches carried out by teams
- Evaluation of environments and data sets required for proper testing of changes and enhancements, verification that they have been included in the testing process
- Carrying out white glove tests
- Define a quality strategy and plan to address these concerns
- Acts as an expert for developers working on enhancement tests
- Participation in key team processes for test instructions (design, retros) as an adjoint member of each Scrum team
- Audit test quality by reviewing quality KPIs for the department, working with team members to create and track actionable metrics for continuous improvement
- Liaise with teams in CISO outside of technology to understand risk based requirements and rate based testing into the process
- Awareness and mentoring of the test team

Requirements
Education
- B.S. degree in computer science, engineering, math, physics or other technical field of study or business administration with MS background
- MS degree preferred
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in software testing in a process-oriented technology environment
- 5+ years of experience in managing quality projects
- 5+ years experience in test management
- Proven experience with manual test automation, test best practices, scripting and automated test quality for multi-level applications
- Proven experience in identifying and implementing business quality initiatives, developing detailed plans for execution and achieving successful, measurable results
- Proven ability to lead and influence
- Proven ability to drive innovative and strategic change to improve the testing process
- At least 5 years of experience working with an agile development methodology
- Expert ability to translate business requirements into technical test solutions
- Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
