**QA Team Lead, AVP**

The QA Team Lead, AVP is responsible for leading quality initiatives throughout the software development process and is expected to implement best practices and innovative testing strategies to ensure high quality products. The candidate should have experience leading QA teams, test automation and strategy, and working with development and product teams.

Summary

This position is a Quality Assurance (QA) leadership role with responsibility for creating and implementing quality initiatives throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). The incumbent will work as a member of the central QA team to implement best practices and innovative testing strategies to ensure CDO's products are of exceptional quality and satisfy our customers.

Tasks

  • Work with the Director of QA Programs to evolve the CDO testing process and make it the industry standard for financial application testing
  • Creation and implementation of roadmaps, plans and designs in a department
  • Expansion of test coverage with manual and automated functional, integration, regression and performance tests
  • Ensuring efficient and effective processes by evaluating and expanding department metrics, identifying risks to project deadlines and product quality, proposing methods to mitigate risks
  • Planning and participating in kickoff meetings to increase the value of integration testing
  • Collaborate with product specialists and resource teams to plan, create and execute test processes
  • Monitor departmental health to ensure tools, processes and training support the quality organization and expand test coverage
  • Creation of test metrics that improve customer focus, repeatability and data-drivenness
  • Evaluating customer requests and determining how to process them
  • Audit of the test process for patches carried out
  • Assessment of environments and data sets required for proper testing of changes and enhancements
  • Implementation of unit/white glove tests
  • Definition of quality priorities and creation of a plan to address these concerns
  • Act as an expert for developers working on performance tests
  • Participation in important team processes for test instructions (designs, retrospectives)
  • Audit of the quality process by reviewing quality KPIs for the department
  • Management of a team of QA engineers and senior engineers

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics or another technical field of study or business administration with a Master's degree (Master's degree preferred)

Experience

  • 12+ years of experience in software testing in a process-oriented technology environment
  • 7+ years of experience in managing quality projects
  • 5+ years experience in team management
  • Proven expertise in the automation of testing tools, best practices, scripts and automated testing to verify the quality of applications at multiple levels
  • Proven experience in identifying high quality initiatives, developing detailed plans for execution and achieving successful, measurable results
  • Proven ability to lead and influence
  • Proven ability to improve and drive change and improve the testing process
  • At least 5 years of experience with agile development methods
  • Expert ability to translate business requirements into technical test solutions
  • Strong knowledge of development technologies (e.g. C++, HTML, UTL, Java) and experience with test frameworks (e.g. JUnit, PyUnit)
  • Experience with microservices, web services tests with SOAP and REST-based services and XML, JSON
  • Experience with CICD tools
