Summary

This role is a product leadership position with responsibility for creating and implementing quality initiatives through the SDL. The leader will work as a member of the core QA team to implement industry standard testing practices and innovative testing strategies to ensure CDO delivers exceptional quality products that delight our customers.

Tasks

• Work with the Director of QA Programs to further develop the CDO testing process to make it the industry standard for financial application testing.
• Define and implement roadmaps for planning and execution in a department.
• Extend test coverage with manual and automated functional, integration, regression and performance tests.
• Ensure efficient and effective practices by evaluating and expanding department metrics.
• Identifying risks to project deadlines and product quality.
• Propose risk mitigation methods.
• Carry out test planning activities.
• Recruit, develop and retain a high performing test creation and execution team.
• Manage test tools.
• Planning and executing test automation.
• Coach and define test metrics.
• Evaluate end-to-end test requests.
• Auditing the test process.
• Assessing environments and data sets.
• Carrying out white glove tests.
• Define a quality governance model.
• Serving as an expert for developers.
• Participation in important team processes.
• Audit the test quality.
• Connection with teams outside the test.
• Leading a team of QA engineers and senior engineers.
• Mentor and coach a team.
• Leading test examples.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics or another technical subject.
• Master's degree preferred.

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in software testing in a process-oriented technology environment.
• 5+ years of experience in managing quality projects.
• 3+ years of team leadership experience.
• Proven expertise in automation testing tools.
• Proven experience in identifying high quality initiatives.
• Proven ability to lead and influence.
• Strong ability to bring innovation and strategic change.
• At least 5 years of experience with agile development methods.
• Expert ability to translate business requirements into technical test solutions.
• Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Specialist knowledge

• Knowledge of development technologies such as C++, HTML/CSS, JavaScript/Node.js, Python, AngularJS, ReactJS, MongoDB, REST API.
• Experience in media services, web service testing with SOAP and REST-based services and XML, JSON.
• Experience with CICD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub.
• Experience with VMS and cloud technologies such as Azure.
• Work experience in distributed environments.
• Extensive experience with testing tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Silk, Silk.NET, Gradle, Jenkins, REST Assured.
• Familiarity with TechChiq, OCD, Confluence, JIRA, Docker, ELK stack, Dynamics.
• Strong experience with databases and data analytics.
