Quality Assurance, Senior Associate

Job Description

The Chief Data Office, GTS at State Street is responsible for monitoring and reporting on data quality across the entire organization and is leading several initiatives to implement the operating model and generate value for our internal and external clients. We are seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer who will be responsible for delivering data governance and engineering applications through software quality assurance (automated and manual testing) in an agile environment, and who can understand new technologies, catch up quickly, and adapt to changing requirements.

Tasks

As an SQA Engineer, you will: * Design, prepare, and implement test strategies and test scenarios * Review test cases and test results * Conduct test and defect status meetings and communicate the causes and solutions for system and/or software defects * Work closely with business and development teams to resolve quality issues and provide information * Participate in daily stand-ups, iteration planning sessions, product demos, and retrospective meetings

Requirements

* At least 3+ years of hands-on experience in SQA testing, including manual and automated testing (Selenium/TOSCA/UFT) * Experience in software testing, including test planning, test case design, test automation, and testing methodologies, as well as regular reporting and status updates * Strong knowledge and experience with SQL databases, ETL testing, and front-end testing; ability to develop complex SQL queries to validate all data scenarios * Solid experience in designing and implementing SQA automation and scripting * Experience with agile methodologies and the use of testing tools – JIRA

Useful skills

* Experience with Java, Python, or other object-oriented programming languages and automation would be a plus
