Quant Developer - AHL Technology
The position as Quant Developer at Man Group in London offers the opportunity to be part of a flagship team in the systematic trading arm AHL and to contribute to the development of trading models and strategies. The role
As a Quant Developer at Man Group, you will be part of one of our flagship teams in Man's systematic trading arm—AHL. The team works closely with quant researchers to design, build, and implement trading models. Your challenges will be varied and will include creating new alpha ideas and new trading strategies.The team

Our technology stack has a short learning curve, allowing new employees to quickly become productive. Essential:- Excellent technical skills; recognized by your colleagues as an expert in your field
- Passion for high-quality software development practices and methodologies; agile development, continuous integration, code review, unit testing, refactoring, and related approaches
- Strong knowledge of Python
- Proficient on Linux platforms with knowledge of various scripting languages
- Experience with data analysis techniques (working with Unix/Linux/Bash/Statistica/Python)
- Mathematical knowledge, e.g., statistics, asset pricing theory, optimization algorithms
- Experience with front-office equities software development, e.g., in a hedge fund or investment bank
- Experience in developing trading systems and visualization technology for displaying large and complex data sets
- Experience with machine learning techniques, natural language processing, and related libraries and frameworks, e.g., scikit-learn, Tensorflow
Personal characteristics
- Strong academic background and a degree with a high mathematical and computer science content, e.g., computer science, mathematics, engineering, or physics from a leading university
- Confident and relaxed approach to coding; software excellence and results in these values in others
- Demonstrable passion for technology, e.g., personal projects, open-source involvement
- Intellectually robust with a creative analytical approach to problem solving
- Self-organized with the ability to effectively manage time across multiple projects and with competing timelines and deadlines
