Key competencies

- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, finance/economics, or a related quantitative field from a top-tier university - A deep understanding of Python, with strong analytical skills and the ability to think outside the box - A background in core ML theory (optimization, probabilistic modeling, deep learning architectures, transformations, differential models, etc.) - Strong publication record or thesis work in ML/AI or related scientific fields/methods - Experience with cloud environments and multi-machine GPU/SPU setups - Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas, strong collaboration skills to work with other teams to improve data products - Previous experience in the investment sector is not a plus, but a requirement

Your tasks

Develop and refine AI-driven quantitative investment strategies in financial markets as part of the dedicated China research team. You will develop and refine strategies through data research and implementation, working closely with other team members to design, build, and improve strategies using cutting-edge machine learning and AI techniques. Key responsibilities include:

• Alpha Generation & Idea Discovery: Using large language models (LLMs), NLP, and alternative data techniques to generate investment ideas and identify sources of alpha.
• Data Curation & Refinement: Applying best practices in data processing and feature engineering techniques to generate robust and reliable datasets.
• Modeling & Statistical Analysis: Design and implementation of deep learning, reinforcement learning, and statistical models to predict market movements.
• Interpretation & Presentation: Translating complex AI model outputs into actionable plant insights to ensure model interpretability and explainability when communicating results to stakeholders.
• Investment Research: Generating research findings on investment strategies, including ML-based trading models, market microstructure, and dynamic portfolio construction.
