Quantitative Researcher – Macro in London.

The team

AHL, Macro is the team responsible for Man's systematic macro strategy. The team trades systematically in liquid futures and FX at various frequencies, with holding periods ranging from months to days.

Technology and business skills

Required skills and experience:

• 4+ years of experience in research and live trading with alpha signals for futures and FX
• Strong experience with live trading infrastructure, including data acquisition, preliminary analysis, signal formation, real-time monitoring, and post-trade checks
• Experience with parallel data processing and real-time analytics
• Strong coding skills and experience working with large data sets, particularly with Python and its scientific stack for research and live trading

Personal characteristics

Required characteristics:

• Strong academic background and a degree with a high mathematical, statistical, and computer science content, e.g., mathematics, computer science, engineering, bioinformatics, or physics from a top university.
• Practical attitude: Willingness to engage with technology and projects within the company
• Intellectually robust with a sound analytical approach to problem solving
• Self-organized with the ability to effectively manage time across multiple projects and conflicting business demands and priorities
• Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain close working relationships with quantitative researchers, data scientists, and software developers
• Confident communicator: Ability to express a point of view concisely and deal constructively with conflicting opinions
