Quantitative Researcher
We are seeking a Quantitative Researcher with a focus on cash equities who will be responsible for generating intraday predictive alpha signals, applying machine learning techniques, and collaborating with other researchers. Job description: Quantitative Researcher
Tasks
- Generation of high-quality intraday predictive alpha signals in cash equities from order book and alternative data
- Application of ML techniques to alpha research
- Extensive market research
- Solving optimization and execution problems
- Identification of highest P&L opportunities
- Close collaboration with researchers throughout the company
Requirements
Essential
- Ability to think creatively and develop and implement original research and ideas
- Excellent analytical skills: recognized as an expert in his field
- Deep understanding of statistical methods and ability to make an impact in a fast-paced environment
- Expertise in a high-level language such as Python/R
Advantageous
- Knowledge of market structure, participants, trading venues, and microstructure of at least one of the major asset classes
- Experience in intraday research
- Experience in writing clean, stable code
- Experience in handling large amounts of data and data curation
Personal characteristics
- P&G or exceptional master's/bachelor's degree in a quantitative subject
- Intellectual integrity with a creative analytical approach to problem solving
- Ability to deliver results with high numerical accuracy
- Willingness to engage practically with technology and projects across the organization
- Self-organization with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and competing business demands and priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and ability to build close working relationships with quantitative researchers, traders, and executives
- Confident communicator who is able to express a point concisely and deal positively with conflicting views
Compensation and Benefits
- Anticipated base salary range: $100,000–$140,000 USD
