Quantitative Researcher – PM Monetization

Job description

The position of Quantitative Researcher – PM Monetization involves conducting research and developing strategies that improve trading in financial markets.

Tasks

* Assisting in the smooth execution of AHL's short-term trading strategies in collaboration with Operations and Trading * Monitoring markets and their impact on the trading model (performance reviews) and proposing appropriate model diagnostics * Research, development, and implementation of research and strategies in the area of short-term trading * Contributing to AHL's overall research efforts by collaborating with other teams * Monitoring market/physical phenomena for internal purposes and proposing ways in which AHL can benefit from them * Developing quantitative techniques and market structures for large, often new or unconventional data sets * Contributing to the company's overall research efforts by interacting and collaborating with other research teams

Requirements

* University degree or exceptional master's qualification in a quantitative subject * Knowledge/understanding of the structure and drivers of returns in financial markets * Demonstrable interest in algorithmic trading, financial derivatives, and markets in general * Ability to create a variety of trading strategies, with a deep understanding of at least one AHL trading strategy * Ability to develop trading strategies using Python * Knowledge of statistical and mathematical tools and techniques * Ability to write clear, concise, and informative technical reports and proposals * 2+ years of professional experience in equity strategy research and development * Exceptional quantitative and programming skills * Demonstrable ability to discuss views with the rest of the team and contribute to the broader research agenda
