Vontobel is looking for a committed and service-oriented person to be the first point of contact for clients and partners at its St. Gallen location, welcoming guests with warmth and professionalism and ensuring that business runs smoothly. The position includes various tasks such as customer service, cash desk processing and administrative activities.

Job description

Tasks

  • A warm welcome and support for our discerning clientele at our location in St. Gallen.
  • You will ensure that the business runs smoothly and process customer transactions at the checkout.
  • Buying and selling foreign currencies and booking cash.
  • Daily control of cash holdings, including transaction reports and reporting to Zurich.
  • Coordination and maintenance of the meeting rooms.
  • Preparation and follow-up of the conference rooms (e.g. setting up projector presentations/ replenishing materials).
  • Building access control including management of employee and visitor badges.
  • Operation of the alarm system.
  • Carrying out general administrative tasks (e.g. processing the reception mailbox, entering accounting documents for invoices, ordering office supplies, etc.).
  • Professional answering of incoming calls (identifying issues and forwarding them to the relevant contact person).
  • Sporadic assignments at occasions and customer events.

Requirements

  • Banking apprenticeship and 3-5 years banking experience, preferably with direct customer interaction (e.g. experience at the cash desk).
  • Completed vocational training preferably in the service sector, e.g. hotel industry, gastronomy, aviation industry (cabin crew member etc.).
  • Several years of experience in a comparable position.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for direct client interactions while adhering to Vontobel Client Experience Standards.
  • Excellent knowledge of Swiss German, German and good English (written and spoken); other languages an advantage.
  • High degree of flexibility & willingness to travel to support colleagues at Vontobel locations throughout Switzerland.
  • Good PC user skills (MS Office: Outlook, Word and Excel).
  • Customer-oriented attitude, high service orientation and willingness to serve.
  • Very good organizational skills, independent and precise way of working, impeccable and discreet manners and empathy.
