Receptionist
As a receptionist at EFG International in Zurich, you will ensure a first-class customer experience in accordance with five-star hospitality standards and provide professional reception and switchboard services. The position also involves efficiently handling various administrative tasks and requires at least 5–7 years of professional experience as well as fluency in German and English.
Tasks
- The receptionist is the first point of contact and ensures a seamless, first-class customer experience in accordance with five-star hospitality standards.
- Provide professional, customer-oriented reception and switchboard services while efficiently handling various administrative tasks.
- Hospitality Services:
- Follow the Hospitality Service Protocol (SOP).
- Serve visitors by greeting them, making them feel welcome, and directing them appropriately, and ensure a flawless experience in accordance with our corporate hospitality policy.
- Physically greet customers and visitors (escorting and seating customers and visitors in the lounge or meeting room).
- Set up and restore lounges and meeting rooms + provide services.
- Ensure security and enforce access control. Issue visitor badges as needed.
- Organize and book meeting rooms.
- Support for internal events and management meetings (e.g., organization, management, inquiries).
- Treat confidential information as confidential and comply with company policies.
- Administrative Assistance:
- Organize and book meeting rooms.
- Register external visitors and issue visitor badges.
- Keep track of statistics (number of customers/visitors).
- Ensure that the facilities are kept clean and address any issues to prevent the need for management or maintenance repairs (chairs, lighting, doors, elevator, noise, ventilation, etc.).
- Prepare “welcome packs” and organize the orientation day.
Requirements
- Successfully completed business apprenticeship.
- Proven experience in the hospitality industry.
- Service-oriented, flexible, reliable, and a strong team player.
- Proven experience in intervention management.
- Approximately 5–7 years of professional experience as a receptionist and/or administrative assistant.
- Fluency in German and English is required. Knowledge of French or Italian would be a strong advantage.
- Excellent time management skills, the ability to multitask, and the ability to prioritize.
- Accurate and detail-oriented.
- Communicative, trustworthy demeanor, politeness.
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and proficiency in using IT tools.
- Ability to work in a challenging, high-pressure, and dynamic environment.
