Lawyer
The Swiss National Bank (SNB) is looking for a lawyer (80-100%) for the Legal Service to strengthen the Organization and Financial Market Law team in Zurich. The position involves providing legal advice and support to the SNB, independently handling legal issues and representing the company in internal and external tax law matters.

Lawyer (80% - 100%)Your contribution
- Ensuring competent legal advice and support for the SNB together with your team colleagues;
- Independent processing of legal issues with a focus on cash supply, banking operations and the provision of banking services for the federal government, as well as drafting and negotiating contracts (including order, work and data protection declarations);
- Representation of the company in internal and external tax law issues (VAT, withholding tax incl. refund issues, handling of loss certificates, etc.);
- Preparation of expert opinions and submission of assessments on private and public law issues;
- Legal support and co-design of key SNB projects and plans.
Your knowledge and experience
- University degree with Swiss bar admission, preferably with additional training (e.g. LL.M.);
- At least four years of professional experience in a commercially oriented law firm or in-house counsel, in particular in an industrial company;
- Sound knowledge of private law and ideally tax law;
- Independent and solution-oriented way of working, with the ambition to achieve high-quality results;
- High sense of achievement and responsibility, broad interest and commitment;
- Very good knowledge of German or French with good passive knowledge of the other national language and good knowledge of English.
