Regulatory Change Manager

The Regulatory Change Manager at Julius Baer is responsible for designing, planning, and implementing regulatory changes, while assessing their impact on people, culture, technology, and processes. The position requires comprehensive knowledge of the Monegasque and European regulatory frameworks, as well as at least 7 years of experience in regulatory change or compliance.

Tasks

The role of Regulatory Change Manager includes:
  • Design, planning, and management of the end-to-end change process for projects and/or change initiatives
  • Assessment of the impact of planned changes on people, culture, technology, and processes
  • Preparation of regular regulatory watch reports and alerts for senior management and stakeholders
  • Maintenance of a centralized repository for applicable regulations and updates
  • Conducting regulatory impact analyses
  • Analysis of new and evolving regulations (including, but not limited to, EMIR, MiFID II, payments/PSD2/PDD3, AML/CFT, etc.)
  • Assessment of the impact on business operations, customer offerings, processes, and systems
  • Providing clear, actionable recommendations and setting priorities
  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of regulatory changes (gap analysis, design, execution)
  • Translation of regulatory requirements into business and functional requirements
  • Cross-functional coordination with compliance, operations, IT, and front-office teams in Monaco, Luxembourg, and Switzerland
  • Ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of regulatory projects
  • Defining and Maintaining a Regulatory Change Governance Framework
  • Presentation of key regulatory developments and implementation status to senior management and committees
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to business units on regulatory matters
  • Ensuring that policies, procedures, and internal controls are updated in line with regulatory changes

Requirements

The following requirements are necessary:
  • Master’s degree in law, finance, business administration, or a related field
  • 7–10+ years of experience in regulatory change, compliance, or advisory roles in private banking or the financial services industry
  • In-depth knowledge of the Monegasque regulatory environment and European regulatory frameworks (EMIR, MiFID II, PSD2, AML/CFT, etc.)
  • Demonstrable experience in establishing or managing a regulatory watch function
