About the role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Regulatory Data & Governance Specialist to support our data management and compliance efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for documenting and maintaining key regulatory and data protection artifacts to ensure our data practices align with internal policies and external regulatory expectations.

Main tasks

  • Work with the Lead IT and Data Strategy to ensure implementation of data governance frameworks are fully compliant with regulatory requirements and supervisory expectations (e.g. FINMA, GDPR, DORA)
  • Identification and analysis of relevant regulatory requirements (e.g. FINMA, GDPR, DORA) that affect data management and data administration
  • Tracking and interpreting regulatory developments in connection with data management and data administration (e.g. FINMA, DORA) and reflecting them in the documentation and governance model
  • Support in the implementation and continuous improvement of the data governance framework (e.g. data ownership model, data management, data quality controls)
  • Developing, maintaining and updating documentation related to data management and regulatory compliance (e.g. policies, standards, procedures, process flows, control descriptions)
  • Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of internal controls related to data lifecycle management
  • Preparation of materials for internal/external audits and regulatory reviews

Ideal candidate

  • Solid understanding of regulatory requirements (GDPR, FINMA, DORA) with regard to data management and data administration in the financial or crypto industry
  • Experience of creating, reviewing and managing formal documentation in regulated environments
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail and priorities
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively in a part-time role
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); German is a plus
